Awesome CWNA Textbook and Exam PreparationJan 25, 2009
By Jerry Palmerino Jr am a wireless instructor at a university. This text is a 5-Star quality textbook targeted to the classroom. As such, it contains end-of-chapter exercises and labs. These are very useful if you are preparing for the CWNA exam. It is fully illustrated and covers everything on the CWNA objectives list. FYI...If you are thinking about this book for both the Wireless# and CWNA tests, please note that the Wireless# exam is different, yet similar in some ways. My only gripe about Ciampa's book is that it is very expensive for a paperback. A hardcover would have been nice to cut down on wear and tear, becuase I use it so much.
One more thing...I'd love to see a third edition with detailed updates and coverage of 802.11n and WiMAX.

One of the Best and looking for the second editionApr 13, 2005
By Richard K. Min My choice textbook for the courses that I am teaching in college. This is truly better book and yet very easy-to-read for any ordinary people preparing for CWNA or CISCO wireless products (than "Cisco Networking Academy Program Fundamentals of Wireless LANs Companion Guide" for many chapters). I am looking forward to seeing "CWNA Guide to Wireless LANs" (Second Edition) by the same author, Mark Ciampa, with many updates since first edition.

So much informationMay 11, 2009
By B. Iheme This book has A LOT of information. I think that in my major this may be one of the books that I learned the most from. This is not just about protocols but also about the actual nature of wireless and it's transmission

This book is great!Aug 20, 2001
I've just finished reading Mark's book and have found it to be thorough and accurate. It takes the reader from the beginnings of wireless LAN technology through as much detail as the reader can stand. It has many sections on practical installation and configuration of WLAN hardware and software, and leaves little to the imagination. This book makes a great resource for studying to become a Certified Wireless Network Administrator (CWNA) - I'm impressed and hope to see more books like this from Mark in the future!
Networking TextbookSep 12, 2011
By jcinlv While only a paperback, the textbook came in perfect condition, on time, and is very well put together as a teaching tool for what I needed. Good price, too.
