TAKE COVER with Google Bomb! Google Bomb (n) or 'link bomb': Internet slang for a certain kind of attempt to raise the ranking of a given page in results from a Google search. (Wikipedia) In today's technology-dependent world, the Internet has become a legal lethal weapon against the privacy and reputations of its users. A Disturbing Yet Necessary Look At The Evil That Can be Caused By The Internet.Apr 18, 2010 [...] - I own a company that gets a tremendous amount of its business from the net. I found it truly amazing and quite disturbing to find out just how destructive the internet can be for a business and a persons life. I truly believe that this is a must read for any and everyone!

This book is a bombMar 17, 2010 What the writer says in this book is quite different from how he truly represents real life clients. Label this one as FICTION.

Not an SEO book at all, many reviews are astro-turf.Mar 14, 2010 Amazon is bundling this tome of FUD (fear, uncertainty & doubt) about Google and the Internet with SEO books. This is NOT an SEO book. Furthermore, Googling the lawyer in question DOES yield *some* questionable links. That's the nature of the web.
But not to worry, this book is 'for the children' whatever that means. Geeks & Infosec types: I don't know whether you'll laugh or cry.... You'll learn more by reading Google's Terms of Use.
The fact of the matter is that it's VERY HARD to 'Google Bomb' someone because of the way that Google weights search.
Want a better way to spend $10? Take a geek out for coffee and get the real story. And take any other reviewer here with less than 5 reviews with a HUGE grain of salt.
If you don't believe me, read the first few pages via sample. It reads like an old 'penny dreadful'.

This book is over rated!Mar 14, 2010 The book is about a trail lawyer who hits a jackpot. I don't think readers can learn something from this book. Don't waste your money.

Predatory Lawyers and Their ClientsMar 14, 2010 I too was totally ignorant of Sue Scheff, and even after reading this book, didn't bother to do more research about her. OK, she got into a major cat-fight with some other woman on the internet. And she sued, and three years later, got a judgment that she will never see, over $11 million. Probably bad for all involved.
The book is rather poorly written, and most of the poor writing comes from noted internet lawyer John Dozier. He actually advocates for the repeal of the First Amendment, and thinks that people who post things on the internet should be hauled off to debtor's prison. Great if you have the money to hire a predator like Dozier, but bad if you are just an internet user who flamed a company that ripped you off.
Save your money and time -- don't buy this book unless you believe in repeal of the CDA and Section 230 (Dozier does). Sue's story is probably better told in her other book, and just Google Dozier's name and you will see that he is that rare breed of lawyer; one that makes money suing people for doing legal things.
