More informative than MS-Official Self-Paced Training KitMay 08, 2008
By Nathan Phelps Having previously read the official Microsoft study guide for 70-640, I can tell you that this is by far the better product.
Not only does the author ensure that you retain the information by the use of modern, easy to understand language, but he provides enough exercises that someone with no previous active directory experience can still gain a working knowledge of the ins and outs of AD 2008.
Whether you are an AD novice or a seasoned professional, I would recommend this book to anyone looking for a one-stop guide for the 70-640 exam.

If you want to pass 70-640, get this book!May 23, 2008
By Kevin Brockus The writing and delivery styles of Will Panek will grab and hold your attention throughout this book. Windows Server 2008 introduced numerous changes over 2003 and the author does a fantastic job of using real world scenarios and examples to teach them to you. Mr. Panek inserts humor in appropriate situations to keep your attention and make a point. If you complete this book you will pass the exam. I look forward to more from this great author.

Highly recommendedApr 19, 2010
By I Review I first picked up the Sybex Windows 7 study guide because it looked like the best choice of what was on the shelf at the time. I was very impressed with that book, I crushed the Windows 7 exam on my first attempt. I decided to stick with the Sybex line of books and bought this one next...and I smashed 70-640 as well.

This is a good book and a great place to start if you are tasked to setup AD using 2008 technology. I would like to see a little more details but I am very detail oriented so I can not really complain because after all it is a study guide. It is worth buying, reading, and referring to when needed.

Excellent BookMar 16, 2009
By Trojan Horsing Around Perfect book to get started on Microsoft certification track on Windows 2008. I've been reading this book for a month now and found it to be extremely valuable. It contains not just simple-to-understand explanation but how to do certain tasks and some reviews at the end of each chapter. Ebook from cd also is also useful for reading on computer. Excellent book.
