Excellent book for everyone in the officeOct 20, 2009
By Anthony Patton

I rarely write reviews, but I was shocked to see no one had reviewed this book yet. I have been working with SQL Server for a long time, so I am pretty critical of reference manuals overall. This book, however, does not disappoint. There is information in here that everyone in the office can use - from the standard 3 or 4 pages explaining normal form, to the chapter on using spatial data in 2008 (very cool). It's a really good and thorough reference, and these guys do a good job of giving you the information you need to make intelligent decisions. I have a couple of other books written by Michael Lee, and I really like his style. Lots of good information that's an easy read - the kind you have to write your name on the inside cover to make sure you get it back after you lend it out and it makes it's way around the office.

Good background for SQL adminSep 05, 2010
By Mr. Mark J. E. Ellis

A well written, easy to read book. If you are looking for SQL programming and commands look elsewhere. If you are an experienced Windows Server admin wanting to increase your SQL skills for day to day admin tasks I highly recommend this book.
