This book does a good job covering the landscape of modern intrusion detection. The references used by the authors are very useful and is what the reader will need to obtain detailed information covering the concepts briefly described in the book.

The book is a good introduction for researchers to use as they review the intrusion detection landscape to form a focus for the exploratory aspect of their respective research.
