Great Guide for Database MirroringOct 15, 2009
By Glenn Berry
"SQL Server MVP"
Database Mirroring was added to SQL Server 2005, and improved in SQL Server 2008, yet many database administrators are still unfamiliar with the technology. This book is full of very useful information on how to create database mirrors and how to monitor and maintain them, using both T-SQL and PowerShell scripts.
I was the technical reviewer for the book. I wish I had a book like this when I first started using database mirroring on SQL Server 2005 back in early 2006. Database mirroring is a good alternative to fail-over clustering or log shipping in many situations. The book is short enough that you will actually be more likely to completely read it.
