High Level OverviewSep 04, 2006
By Stuart Gardner
"www.sdgardner.com"
This is a very well written 10,000 feet overview of wireless security, however, there are more comprehensives texts at less than half the price. Coverage does go beyond 802.11 (major plus) and principals of wireless security are well covered.
If 802.11x is your main interest: there isn't sufficient information (although there are good references) to secure or hack a wireless network.
I would recommend Wi Foo: The Secrets of Wireless Hacking for a better introduction for anyone with an interest in hacking/penetration testing, or for network hardening or Real 802.11 Security (John Edney, William Arbaugh).
The Dummies guide to wireless hacking or Maximum Wireless Security provide equally useful and more practical coverage.
Great Book!!!Mar 18, 2006
By Wireless Superstar This book was an easy read. It took a very difficult subject and simplified it for me. I am interested in making a career in wireless technologies. A friend of mine read this book and lent his copy to me. I would recommend it to other readers.
